Conditions:	Mild, generally overcast. Continuous strong gales on ridge.

En-route to Kintail Youth Hostel, we stopped for a short afternoon up the three hills north of Lundie on Loch Cluanie. The first (Carn Ghluasaid) was a featureless climb into increasing winds, which had reached gale force by the time we reached the summit.

We advanced towards the next on the ridge - Sgurr nan Conbhairean, at 1110m it lies considerably higher than the first. The ridge got progressively more windy, however, and having got around halfway along the ridge it was clear we were fighting a losing battle. Moreover, the rain window we had had until that point ceased, so we left the remaining hills for another day.
